Membership in LDRAC
All individuals, who are dedicated to study learning disabilities for elementary and secondary school students, may apply to join LDRAC.
Member's Rights and Duties
Members have rights to vote and to stand for election in LDRAC, to participate in activities related to LDRAC, to make criticism and suggestion about LDRAC's work, to enjoy more favored conditions of academic study, exchange and training than non-members. Members also have other rights that LDRAC approved and have right to voluntarily withdraw from LDRAC.
Members should acknowledge LDRAC's regulations, obey the relevant stipulations, positively participate in the activities organized by LDRAC, pay the conference fees in time, try the best to accomplish the appointed work. Every member should pay RMB20.00 as the conference fee per year. Member who doesn't pay the conference fee in continuing 2 years will be treated as voluntary withdrawal.
Members should positively study learning disability, consistently improve the research level, and try to acquire high-level study achievements in teaching and endeavors for popularization of the achievements.
Member's Congress
Member's Congress and the Council elected by Member's Congress are the administrative bodies with supreme power in LDRAC. The candidates for council are selected on the principle of the appropriate balances among geographical areas, academic reputation and professions. The candidates for council are no more than 60 persons. The council consists of 20 standing members at most, including 1 director, 5 vice director and 1 general secretary.
During the period that the Member's Congress and the Council are not in session, the Standing Council takes the responsibilities instead of the Member's Congress and the Council. The Council Congress is convened annually and the Standing Council Congress is convened biannually. The general secretary should positively assist the director and vice directors in daily affairs and do daily work of secretary office. The secretary office is set up in the Research of Basic Education at Beijing Academy of Educational Sciences.
The Member's Congress is convened per four years. Its duties include revising and passing the regulations of LDRAC, voting the current council, hearing and examining the work report made by last Council, deciding the major issues such as the annual plan during the current session.
